Ramos Arrives At Deadline - 2033

Post by JohnC » Wed Jan 24, 2018 9:16 am

Montreal

In a move designed to help the Blazers this year, and beyond, the team acquired Jesus Ramos from LV for a couple of minor league prospects. The three tim all-star brings a power sinker, and a knee buckling curve with him to the mound. It's no secret the Blazers have been searching for another starter for a while now and are very happy to have picked up the right hander. "He fits well into our contending window. We really like the direction our rotation is heading, this year and beyond," said GM Callahan. He didn't say it, but the GM was referring to the possible addition to the rotation next year of Aki Kondo, who was acquired in the infamous Gillstrom trade. If Kondo is ready next season it would give the Blazers a great young core of starting pitching. He would join ace Jubal Troop, and knuckleballer Manuel Pena to form an exciting trio of potential stars. Ramos adds a nice veteran presence to this rotation, and will be counted on to provide stability to the 'young guns' as they develop into legitimate major league pitchers.

I am really high on Kondo. Part of me hope that he lives up to my expectations and kills it for you, but a tiny part of me wouldnt mind seeing him disappoint a bit if only because i would feel better about the trade lol.

you realize that we are destined to meet for a spot in the Landis and somebody involved in that trade is going to be the deciding factor right?
