Old Face Returns - 2031

Montreal

When Jorge Jimenez left the Blazers after the 2028 season he felt like he was leaving his 2nd home. He really took to the culture in Montreal and he still owns a home there where he sometimes visit during the frigid winters. This season, in the final year of his contract, he had a feeling that he may be moved and had his eye on Montreal the entire time. So when his agent called him to let him know he had been dealt, he was thrilled to learn he was returning to Montreal. He is well aware that his stay will once again be a short one as the Blazers have no cap room available to sign him to an extension.

"I love this city, and I hope I can help get the team into the playoffs", he said. That is a task that just got much tougher for Jimenez. The same week he arrived, the Blazers lost ace Leon Flores for 4-5 weeks. Another injury for Flores that really has the Blazers worried about his long term future with the club. This is the second time in a month that Flores has made a trip to the DL with arm related issues. To top it off, the Blazers also lost Ken Jenkins, who has quietly been having an outstanding season and just made his first all-star appearance.

As this season continues along, a one of ups and downs, the Blazers will continue to battle along with a band-aid pitching staff in hopes they can score enough runs to get them back into the playoffs where we all know anything can happen.

Montreal has had a bit of a disjointed run of it this year, but the JA is still just kind of there for the taking if one team can get hot.

Very true. We have been up and down all year as has Jacksonville. We haven't had many injuries this year, but the ones we suffered, have all been to very key players and we have little depth at the AAA level.
