Dead Arm Has Blazers Worried - 2031

Montreal

When a team struggles to pitch effectively, the last thing they want to see is their ace get injured. That's exactly what has happened in Montreal as Leon Flores has been placed on the 7-day DL with what the team is describing as "dead arm". Very often that type of injury turns out to be much worse after more examination. With long time ace Jorge Stanza already gone for the season, the last thing this team needs is Flores missing an extended amount of time. "He will go for some more testing later in the week, and we will go from there. If everything checks out it is still possible that we give him some more rest to get ready for the stretch run", said GM Callahan. With no help available in AAA, and nothing happening on the trade front for the Blazers, the solution is going to have to come from within.

This organization has some decent pitching prospects, but they are at least 1-2 seasons away from being major league ready. Jubal Troop is in AA and has been working hard to try and develop his changeup. It has gone very slowly so far as he looks to make that jump to AAA for next season. Palmer Perry is also on that staff in AA, but he projects to be more of a back end starter at the ML level. Either way, the ascent to the ML level can't come soon enough for Blazers fans and management for these two.
