"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. My name is Roc Hoover and I am the Director of Public Relations for the Montreal Blazers. I'd like to get started with Raul DeLeon's daily press conference to talk about the upcoming home stand."
From off stage everyone in the room can hear GM Herb DeSpain whisper yelling at Hoover, "Pssst Roc! Hey Roc!"
Attempting to ignore the distraction Hoover finally acknowledges his boss, "What do you want? Can't you see I'm trying to work here?"
DeSpain, still whisper yelling, "We fired DeLeon last night!"
"You did what?" Hoover exclaimed as he took a step back from the podium.
"We fired DeLeon last night!"
"You fired the manager and you didn't tell me about it before I came out here and embarrassed myself?" Hoover said with clear anger in his voice. "I thought this high school coach was going to take the Blazers to the promise land? He was going to lead us to multiple championships just as he did Bishop Sycamore High School? Why would you fire a great manager like Kuuburi Yusaf Khel for this guy and then get rid of him just seven games into the season?"
"It's complicated!!" DeSpain replied...still whisper yelling for all to hear.
"It's what?" replied Hoover.
"It's complicated!" DeSpain repeated.
"Try me" Hoover insisted.
"He lied on his resume...he never coached at Bishop Sycamore High School and never won any championships. The school doesn't even exist!" DeSpain exclaimed.
Hoover stood at the podium in stunned silence...starring at DeSpain off stage.
"Huh," DeSpain was heard saying in a normal tone. "I guess it's not that complicated after all!"
