1995.04 Hitter of the Year

Post by mrbornac » Mon Jun 14, 2010 8:59 pm

Without a doubt, it has to be Tom Mohler. Tom was a machine this year, a force that did not get the recognition he deserved. A healthy bat on a lineup of replacements, he managed to not only lead the Frick League in hitting, but he hit an incredible .417 in August, September, and October.

He was so dependable, and so good, he lead the league in Plate Appearances, At Bats, Hits, Average, On Base Percentage, and, with a total of 85.4, VORP.

All this and he was only third in the MVP vote. Travesty.

Well, at only 26, and still in arbitration, we are looking forward to a long productive career for our rightfielder. Thank you Tom, this year would not have been nearly as successful without you!

He should have won that award, hands down. Even the smartest baseball guys get "Blinded by Counting Stats"™
