Sweet Home Alabama
The "rubber game" in the series against the Bandits went just as the Bulls planned, with the road team sending the home team crying into the night 7-5. We are happy to get out of Birmingham as quickly as possible, as no one, not even players from Hackensack, want to be caught in Alabama alone after dark. Zombies live there right?
Unmittigated Disaster at Home
We lost 2 of 3 against the Hustlers at home, but no one gives a damn. As the Recte-hacker came to town in the series finale, a game that somehow the Bulls managed to win. But at what cost, at what cost I ask you? The loss of Clemente Serrano might be too much for this high octane offense to recover from. Church bells around town rang when the team trainers confirmed that the MVP candidate would be lost for the entire season. May the Hustlers plane crash, hacker.
That Injury Put the Bulls into a tailspin
A depressed Hackensack squad was no match for a Storm team that for once did not look like a WNBA squad. The Bulls played like they could not wait to get out of this town, to leave the spectre of the loss of Serrano behind them. Fortunatly, the team was able to salvage game three of the series, behind a masterful pitching performance by
John Ross Riles, Jr.. Riles, who did not have the best start this season of his career, has done a great job of turning things around. We expect great things from him in the 2nd half, and he is poised to deliver.
Travel Across State Was Just What the Doctor Ordered
Sometimes, all it takes is to travel a couple miles, and your luck all changes. There were no blowouts, but the Bulls took care of business, winning all four games in Atlantic City. That was enough to shake the team of it's funk. While the pitching was not perfect, and the offense could have scored some more runs, wins are wins, and right now, it's time to start amassing them again.
Back at Home Against the Bison
Are we clear of the malaise of Hoffa Park? It took 11 innings, but the Bulls were able to pull clear of the division rival Bison by a score of 5-4 thanks to a 1-out ground ball to second that scored
Timothy Syed from third in a close play. It's just one win, but one that we needed desperatly.
Hitter of the Sim
Alistar Sharpe
.460 BA, 1 HR, 11 RBI, 8 R, 1.161 OPS
With a great deal of the weight of the offense now falling on his shoulders, Alistar game up aces, going 23/50 with 9 extra base hits. He may not have played well enough this year to earn a start in the All-Star game, but without a doubt, he has been a crucial part of the Bulls offense this year, and we would be lost without him!
Pitcher of the Sim
Damario Poso
1-1, 5 Saves, 3.24 ERA, 8.1 IP, 5 Hits, 3 Runs, 0 BB, 5 K
Normally, an ERA of 3.24 won't win you a pitcher of the sim for the Bulls, especially when some other pitcher posted numbers quite a bit lower. However, we can't ignore the fact that Damario was 5 for 5 in save opportunities this sim, and had a sterling WHIP of just 0.60. Season to date, Poso is 7-2 with 15 saves in 16 opportunites, with an ERA of just 1.35 , along with a WHIP of 0.78. If he is not elected to the All Star Game, something is very wrong!
Farm Report
This section is under construction. We hope to provide some details for all 3 minor league teams in the near future. Until then, we recommend that you go see our teams in Winston-Salem NC, Eau Claire WI, and Gatlinburg TN.
Transaction News
What now? We need to find a body to bring up from AAA to give us a bat in the outfield. We have an idea, but nothing is in stone yet.

This awesome detail to be added in the next review…..
Next Sim Preview
We will finish the current homestand against the Bison and the Blazers, before a trip out west to take on Long Beach and then Austin. A second off day for the sim allows the team time to travel from the home of the Riverbats down to New Orleans to take on the 'dads.

I am going to Sevierville, TN to watch a game tonight actually. But putting a team in Gatlinburg would be BRUTAL! The traffic going in and out of that place is dreadful as it is, let alone trying to go to a ball game there.mrbornac wrote: This section is under construction. You really should cut everything after
. Interest does not carry that long in TNs and it's stuff that is easily seen on the HTML. It's just detracting from your actual written content.Running Team Statistics
