Batter of the Month
AAA 1B Jeff ''Dude Part Deux'' Wachowski, Jr. : Anytime a player can both score and knock in 19 runs in one month, you know some good things are going on. Jeff did just that, while going 41 for 110, with splits of .373/.412/.518 for an OPS of .930. He had 5 doubles, a triple, and 3 round trippers. Rumor has it that if there is one more player that gets put on the DL in Buffalo, that Dude squared will find himself with the Bison……
Starting Pitcher of the Month
AAA SP Eric 'Flavor Flav' Oliver : We are waiting for Eric to run into trouble with the league for wearing inappropriate jewelry on the mound, but until then, we are happy to see him spin what he can in Winnipeg, and wonder when we can have him break into Buffalo. A touch more control from Eric would bring him up quickly. In June, he had a nice stat line, going 3-1 with a 2.41 ERA, and in 41 innings, he gave up 38 hits with 19 walks, notching 30 k’s. His WHIP of 1.39 and those afore mentioned walks are what is keeping him in AAA for the time being, but we look forward to him showing up in the big leagues soon.
Relief Pitcher of the Month
CL Jesse Brown : June was a fantastic month for Jesse, where we saw him pitch in a team leading 14 games. He had a record of 1-1 with 9 saves, an ERA of 1.88 and a WHIP of 0.98. He pitched 14.1 innings, with 11 hits and 3 walks allowed, striking out 15 batters. He gave up an OAVG of just .196. A little more like this from Jesse, and we will have a new late inning man in Buffalo.
