Batter of the Month
RF Carlin Adie : There are rumors that the Bison may be trying to move Adie, but that would only be because of his huge value, not because the Bison don’t think he fits in. In June, we saw a glimpse of why we love him so much. While his batting average was descent at .263, it’s his entire split we appreciate, where we saw him go .263/.360/.505 for an OPS of .865. Sure, we see higher OPS totals, but the fact that he walks 14 times in a month when he hits 4 doubles, 4 triples, and 4 dingers is impressive. He scored 11 runs, and knocked in 14, and stole 4 bases to boot. If Adie can ever figure out how to hit for .300, he could be the league MVP.
Starting Pitcher of the Month
SP Kim Rodas : Rodas kept up his end of the bargain for the month of June, going 3-2 with a 3.41 ERA. In 5 starts, he pitched 39 innings, allowed 41 hits, and allowed just 15 earned runs. He walked just 8, struck out 20, and his WHIP of 1.26 really showed us that he was pitching solidly. He went for the complete game 3 out of the 5 starts, and that alone is worth commenting on. Great job Kim, keep up the great work!
Relief Pitcher of the Sim
MR Steve Roberge : After the month of June was completed, we named Roberge our closer. These stats are why. In 6 games, he was 1-0, with a 1.29 ERA. In 7 innings pitched, he gave up just 3 hits, 2 walks, 1 earned run, while striking out 3 batters. His WHIP of 0.71 was what really stood out for us. Roberge had a BABIP of .105. Some might say he was lucky, I like to think he was throwing nasty stuff.
