Batter of the Sim
DH Greg Sharp
While Sharp only hit a pedistrian .286 in the past sim, for the second time this season, he hit 4 home runs, running his season total up to 12, to go along with 22 RBIs. He went 10 for 35 with 2 doubles and those 4 home runs, scored 6, and knocked in 8. Sharpie will never lead the league in hitting, but at just 28 years of age, he does provide some much needed power to this lineup that seems to be living off of the home run in 2010.
Reliever of the Sim
Armando Gomez
Gomez continues to represent well as the closer for the Bison, converting another 3 saves in 4 games pitched, and providing at least one semi constant in the pen. So far this season, Gomez is 1-1 with 8 saves, an ERA (slightly high) at 3.46, with 8 hits allowed in 13 IP. He has 10 Ks to 4 BBs so far, and his one weakness so far is that he has allowed 3 home runs. Long balls will be a problem for him, but so long as he does not let too many guys on the bases, he should be OK. Not great, but OK.
Starter of the Sim
Rene Moncada
When you are the only starter that has an ERA under 4.00 for a sim, it's sad that you will win the Pitcher of the Sim, but it can't really be helped. No one was fantastic this sim, so someone had to win it by default, and Moncada sucked the least this past sim. He went 1-0 in two starts, striking out 7, walking just 2 in 11 and a third innings pitched. Two starts and less than 12 innings pitched? Yeah, we suck.
