2010.11 - Buffalo Sauce - Sim 3 Review

First losing sim of the season, the Bison went 4-5, finishing a series win against Washington, losing a 3 game series 2-1 to Baltimore, then winning a series by 2-1 against Greenville, before dropping the last two games of the sim against a possible new rival, the Louisville Sluggers. Even with the losing sim, the Bison find themselves at the end of April just a half game out of first place with a record of 16-12.

Batter of the Sim



2B Robert Cullison

It was a bit of a toss up deciding who the batter of the sim was, but we decided to go with aged 2B Robert Cullison. While he seems to be wearing a bit of a boot for a glove, we enjoyed seeing Robert go 11 for 24, good enough for a .458, scoring a team leading 8 runs. His sim OPS of 1.186 also lead the Bison for qualifying batters for the sim. Keep this up Robby, and we might be able to ignore your fielding woes.

Reliever of the Sim



Manuel Álvarez

The shelves were a bit bare for a relief pitcher to recognize for this sim, but we are going with Uncle Álvarez. He struck out 6 in 3.1 innings, allowing a solo home run and only one other hit, along with two walks. His opposing average was just .167, showing just how nasty his stuff was. His season stats are not great at this point, but we are hoping for more good showings from Manny to help keep the bullpen sailing along.

Starter of the Sim



Nathan 'Gobbler' Molnar

A free agent signing in the offseason, The Gobbler showed some of the talent that drew the Bison to go after him this past winter. Another pitcher who is pitching a bit behind his stats at this point, he had a great sim, going 2-0 in two starts, with a 3.31 ERA. Allowing 15 hits in 16.1 innings pitched, he struck out 13 allowing just 4 walks. His WHiP of 1.16 went along his opposing average of just .234.

Good to see Cullison still contributing. He was stuck behind Tim McGraw for years.
