Here is a link to last year’s center field prospect ranking. Thanks to the emergence of Miao and two new faces this position looks better than it did a year ago.


#1 Yi-mou Miao (A-) | Age: 18 | R

Miao bumped, dev'd, and hit the shit out of the ball at Rookie level Kingston. The switch-hitter slashed .331/.421/.573 and is currently ranked the #42 overall prospect in the BBA. He'll move up to Short A in 2065.

#2 Terry McKinley (C+) | Age: 21 | AAA

Our second round pick in last year's draft is already mostly developed and was playing at the minor leagues' highest level as the season concluded. The 21 year-old lefty struggled to stay on the field and durability looks like his greatest challenge going forward. More comfortable in left field, McKinley has below average outfield range for a center fielder.

#3 Larry St. John (C) | Age: 18 | R

St. John came over from Hawaii in the midseason trade that sent Leland Rogers to the Trops. Hawaii had already brought the former IFA stateside despite him not being very far along in development. St. John has well rounded offensive tools that should allow him to contribute in BA, OBP, and SLG. His defensive skills need some additional bumping if he's going to stick in center field, but St. John has excellent intangibles.

#4 Eddie Hunter (D) | Age: 22 | A

35/35	5/5	4/5	5/6	2/4	2/3	3/4

Hunter experienced some unfortunate lumping during a 2064 season that saw him collect the most playing time of his career. Production wise, it did not go well. Hunter only remains interesting because of his defensive versatility. He's in line to repeat the A level in 2065.

i would consider A for Miao due to how youth focused OOTP is right now.

If he has another productive season in SA I’ll consider it. I generally want my As to be more developed.

That's fair. i would not even consider it except for the Leonardo de Caprio Development Engine these days.

Miao projects to a really good 8-range CF, FWIW.
