Sammy McNeill will miss 1-2 weeks of action after an off-field incident involving a coyote bite. Rumors swirling around the clubhouse indicate the star shortstop has been spending his evenings in the San Fernando Valley hills camping under the stars experimenting with various substances in his pursuit of inner peace. McNeill has struggled with his mental health since suffering a rash of injuries in recent years and after a trade to San Fernando over the offseason he's gotten off to slow start statistically with his new team. All of this information begs the question--was the coyote real or imagined? And if imagined, what really happened in those hills?

In other news, the 2058 Frick League all-star rosters were announced. The Bears claim only one all-star, starting left fielder Jeffrey Smith. The club is excited to have a starter but some within the front office are disappointed the BBA's leader in home runs, Michael Schultz with 31, didn't receive the recognition of making the team.
