2056.03: Rummaging Bears - Outfielders

As they rummage a campsite some Bears find picnic baskets while others are shooed away.
Sure-Fire Locks
CF Jamie Angwin, RF Jim Young, DH Don Moore
Angwin is now the highest paid Bear and hopefully gives us a much needed boost in CF. Every other player listed makes the league minimum... Young and Moore are cheap lefty power threats. It's still undecided which corner Young patrols.
Near Locks
LF Hyeon-uk Hong, LF Tynan Rose, RF Vio Gal
Hong is a solid platoon bat but as a lefty he makes it difficult to also roster Vio Gal... I'd really like to see how many bombs Gal can hit in Chico's Bail Bond Stadium over a full season... Tynan Rose had a strong September call-up and makes sense as a righty to balance out the roster.
Trying to Break-In
LF Oscar Lewis, LF Ken Donahue, CF José Montoya, RF Cisco Vázquez
Lewis played well for about four months in 2055 before both the stats and the ratings fell apart... Donahue was once our best looking young player but he's almost pulled into waiver wire station. The only thing saving him is that he bats righty amidst a see of southpaws... since most of these other players are statues who could never play CF, Montoya does have a path if Angwin were to succomb to injury.
Breaking in the Back Door
LF Michael Schultz, LF Ricardo Espinosa, CF Miguel Montero, RF Tommy Harrison
Michael Schultz is the #11 prospect in the BBA and could reach San Fernando as early as May if he starts hot in AAA... Espinosa was a favorite of mine last offseason but some lumps have nipped his helium in the bud... Montero was hurt for most of 2055 and needs some time in AAA to get back on track... Harrison is nearly fully developed but still just 20 years-old so we'll cycle thru some of the other lefty power bats first.
