2054.2: An Early Peek Into the 2053-2054 Offseason Picnic Basket

I consildated my roster as the 2053 postseason came to an end. I'm going to recap the activity so far below.

I opened the offseason by trading C Heui-seong Park for RF José Hurtado. Hurtado gives me a affordable RH power guy to balance my lineup and play nearly every day in the outfield. I've been hording mediocre 50 OVR catchers for a couple years now and consider Park redundant with my younger RH platoon catcher, Shi-min Xi.

I no brainer executed the $3M option of catcher Reggie Leeper. He hit .293/.336/.475. I'd love if any statistical experts could explain to me why his WAR was only 1.6 because the defensive stats aren't *that* bad. The average BBA catcher was ~85 WRC+ and Leeper was 114.

I also picked up the year 2 team option on RP Edwin Harney. He was my reilever conversion. Harney's peripherals indicate he shoulda had better results. Could be a mistake.

I politely bought out Jonathan O'Reilly because he is "wrecked" physically and 35 years old.
