Despite being overshadowed by the powerful offense (and dragged down by their fellow hurlers), two of the Bears starters managed to put together seasons that are worthy of consideration for some Nebraska votes, and give the Bears fans hope for the future.
SP Felipe Guevara: The youngster managed to not only avoid the sophomore slump after a promising rookie year at 20, but at 21 the crafty lefty earned his first all star appearance and showed that he is more than capable of being a very good starter in this league for a long time. He should remind Bears fans of a young Ernie Kinney, who had some great years before getting hurt and wasting away in Portland following the expansion draft.

He was actually a chuck draftee in that period when I was traveling for work and yes it has worked out pretty well. He is one of those guys that will overperform his ratings year after year i think.

Nice. Yeah that stuff rating is weirdly low...I wonder if it's a product of relative ratings.
