2043.6 Bad News Bears: Out With a Whimper

Following a very successful 2043 regular season, the Bears and their fans were filled with high hopes and expectations for the playoffs, including a potential renewal of the dormant postseason rivalry with the organization formerly known as the California Crusaders. Unfortunately an injury riddled and underperforming Louisville Sluggers organization had other plans and thoroughly dismantled the Bears in a 4 game series. With finals scores of 5-4, 6-14, 5-10 and 1-11, Bears fans were having flashbacks to being run over by the Rockville Pikemen in back to back Landis series, and it is no secret that GM Randy Weigand will be focused on upgrading the pitching staff in the offseason. He has a significant amount of money to play with and no meaningful FA to resign, so look for the Bears to make a splash in the market for the first time in recent memory.
