3B Alex Ramirez was acquired in a blockbuster trade last season, and more than justified his price this year. One of the steadiest players in the entire league over the course of the year, Ramirez carried the Bears team out of the dumps of mediocrity to 91 wins and a top wild card spot.

didnt lead the league in a single individual stat, but lapped the field in the big combined one (WAR) and piled up a slew of top 5 and top 10 performances across the board.

Yep. For me, he did everything really well for a team not many expected to be where you are. Doubt you're in the playoffs without him.

Re: 2043.3 Good News Bears: Silk Candidate
i was telling people last september (after i made the trade for him), that i was going to be an 87ish win team this year and contend for a wild card spot. He was definitely the ringleader, but i had a slew of other guys who stepped up also. 5 other offensive guys had between 3.67 and 4.24 WAR in a bears uniform, so that depth was probably the biggest factor.
