The newest inductee into the San Fernando Bears franchise Hall of Fame is yet another BBA Hall of Famer in catcher Ernest Watts. Watts was faced with the unenviable task of taking over for franchise icon Jeremy Hunter, Watts not only succeeded but he thrived in the position. For the entire decade of the 2010s (including the pennant winning team of 2017), Watts led the team from behind the dish and drove them forward before departing prior to the 2020 season.

Glad you posted these HOF selections - pretty cool to learn about some of San Fernando's legends. You've gotta feel a little sorry for Mitrani playing that well in the shadow of Steve Nebraska. Nice to honor Watts and Hunter in the same induction class, too.

I thought about holding watts out and making him the first inductee outside of the "inaugeral class", but figured i was on a writing roll so why not.HoosierVic wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2020 11:26 amGlad you posted these HOF selections - pretty cool to learn about some of San Fernando's legends.
