2041.1 - Good New Bears - The One Where I Say Hi

Hi,
Randy said I should introduce myself. I'll help run his team for a bit. Here's some info about me.
Name: Charles August (I go by Chuck)
Occupation: Physical Therapist
Where I'm from: DC
OOTP Experience: Offline only. Randy actually got me into the game. Was talking to him about baseball and how frustrating the Nats lack of postseason success was (Not anymore! Woooohoo!) and he brought up this game.
I'll be mostly relaying instructions from him. I doubt I'll have to make any real decisions, except he'll probably be too busy for the draft.
He also mentioned that it would be cool if I wrote some team news for him if I had time. He said he never gets them done until the last minute.
So here goes. A month into the season, the Bears are first in their division. It's a bit early to rely on records much. They are 1st in runs scored and runs allowed though. That's more reassuring. No major injuries so far is nice, too. This pitching staff doesn't look that great though. The starters look solid, but this bullpen is kind of "ugh". Randy says that's how he does things, so whatever. I tend to like a lock down closer and setup guy or two. This offense is crazy good though. Randy told me the ratings are higher in this league than most, but wow!
Next week the Bears will finish a four game series against the Omaha Hawks, who are off to a pretty mediocre start. Then it's back home for a two game stint versus the Yellow Springs nine and division rival Vancouver. Yellow Springs looks pretty good out of the gate. Also, beating divisional foes is always key. A strong week could really start to cement the Bears as a frontrunner in 2041.
2041, huh? That's just weird to type. It makes sense given this being a fake league and your sim schedule. Still, it makes you wonder how baseball will look in 20 years.
