2039.2 Good News Bears: Offensive Team Leaderboard 2039 ASG version

Post by usnspecialist » Tue Jul 30, 2019 1:17 pm

Inspired by some other GMs who shall remain anonymous, here is a look at the all-time offensive leaderboards for the Bears franchise and where some current guys (ok mainly just the big 5) current guys fit in there.

Starting with the big one, Tai hoi Wie enters the all-star break with a decent chance of passing Jared Gillstrom for 4th all time, and barring injury looks like a pretty good bet to pass Ernest Watts for #3 all time by the end of 2040. With a fat new 6 year contract in hand, he will have plenty of time to make a run at the twin pillars of Boerner and Hunter (spoiler alert, you will see those 2 a LOT on these lists) and cement his place in franchise lore. Luis Maldonado (24.9) has a chance to crack the top 10 this season and could be as high as 6th by the end of 2040. Juan Mendoza (21.4) has been rocketing up the leaderboards as a 24 year old and if he extends could be a major force for years to come.

Tai hoi Wie: 28- Despite not playing in a park that favors 2B/3B, Wie could eek his way into the top 10 over the next few years
Luis Maldonado: 22- See Wie
Total Bases.PNG
Wie is likely to move into the top 5 by the end of the year and potentially top 3 by the end of 2040 with a good season.
Luis Maldonado: 1700- Decent chance of cracking top 10 by the end of 2040 if healthy.

Tai hoi Wie: 770- chance of moving up as high as 8th by seasons end.
SB.PNG
Maldonado is likely to be #2 within the next week, and then probably a few years until he passes cooper.

Wie is on track to be #3 sometime around the 2040 ASG
Luis Maldonado: 568- likely to crack the top 10 within the next year, by the end of 2040 could rise as high as #5
RBI.PNG
Wie could potentially be #5 by the end of this season
Luis Maldonado: 631- will be in top 10 very shortly and pretty good shot at top 6 by the end of 2040

Angel Garcia sitting just off the edge at .368, with his last 2 years being above that total he has a chance to move up onto the list.
K.PNG
Wie is probably going to top this unfortunate list by the end of this season, and if not then definitely early in 2040.
HR.PNG
Wie will almost certainly move into the top 5 and potentially into the #3 spot (a recurring theme for him) by the end of 2039.
Maldonado fallen a bit off his heights from a few years ago, but potentially could slot into the #4 spot ahead of Johnson by the end of 2040
Hits.PNG
Wie should move into the #6 spot after this season and will likely fall just short of the top 4.
HBP.PNG
Garcia has a good chance at taking over the top spot by seasons end, and Lee is not far behind him. Both have hit those positions in far less time than it took their predecessors on the list.

Tai hoi Wie: 1172- Will fall just short of the top 10 this year, given his relative health should move into top 7 after 2040.\
Doubles.PNG
Nobody close
BB.PNG
Wie could potentially nudge his way into the top spot this season, but will get there next season barring a manual aguilar situation

Mendoza has been a remarkably consistent performer, with season marks of .317, .306, .313, .346, .344 all before the age of 25
AB.PNG
Tai hoi Wie: 4243- will crack top 10 by end of 2040
