2036.7 Great News Bears: Rafael is a Cool Dude

In what is becoming a recurring theme for this franchise, a playoff series has gone the full 7 games. Over the past 3 seasons the organization has played in 4 of them (2034 Cartwright, 2035 Doubleday, 2036 Doubleday, 2036 Cartwright) and for the 3rd time they have emerged victorious. This is a franchise that enjoys living on the edge however, as following the near collapse from a 3-0 series lead against California in the Doubleday Series, they blew a 3-1 lead against Long Beach in the Cartwright. However history repeated itself as Feliciano Rafael (51 - 34, 3.72 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 759 K) took the ball for the 2nd time in a winner-take-all series in the last 2 weeks and spun an absolute gem. His numbers for the two game 7 performances leave no doubt that the 23 year old is absolutely unflappable in big situations.

@CALIFORNIA: 8 IP, 3 hits, 1 R, 7 K, 2 BB
vs LONG BEACH: 8 IP, 7 hits, 0 R, 9 K, 1 BB

"When we see the big man out there on the hill, I have zero doubt that we are going to win the game" said star SS Angel Garcia (.245/.352/.418, 46 HR, 148 RBI), who took home Series MVP honors for his work against the Surfers. Team captain Ernie Kinney (58 - 28, 3.58 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, 536 K) was quoted as saying "I hear a lot of talk about the kid from Seattle being the best pitcher in the league, but he is currently sitting at home and Feliciano is out there putting some of the best teams in the league to shame".

The entire organization is looking forward to the Landis, as this would be the first for the city of San Fernando. "It would be great to reward the fans who welcomed us with open arms since day 1 with a trophy like this" said superstar 2B Jared Gillstrom (.331/.382/.565, 367 HR, 1192 RBI).
