The Buffalo Rag 1999.2

Post by cramsey51 » Tue Feb 01, 2011 1:59 pm

Some offseason movement has started to occur in the Buffalo locker room. The biggest name to move in is Richard Wasson. Wasson is a young phenom and is expected to challenge veteran Melvin Ripken for the Bison's closer job.

Wasson's signing could not have happened at a better time, as it was just announced that Dave Blain will not be returning to the team due to complications with his rotator cuff injury sustained last season. That will give the opportunity for some young talent to rise in the organization. Particularly, Cristobal Garza will get his shot.

Also included in the offseason movings so far, is the signing of Alistar Sharpe. Sharpe will most likely come in a shake the cobwebs off his 3B glove, as first base is quite the crowded position in the Buffalo clubhouse. Sharpe also brings the power bat that Bison management has been pining for.

Stay tuned as the offseason is far from over and anything can happen!

OOTP has Ripken's role as a "starter". He has a 7 EN, but it might be a decent experiment.

He has three good pitches. He might well be a good 6-7 inning starter. No reason not to do it with Wasson on board.

Well, I was being kind to Ripken and was just making news...I am certain that Wasson will be closing. ;)
