Manager Bruce Frank, Pitching Coach Vincent Boone Retire

The Atlantic City Gamblers have officially announced additional personnel turnover as manager Bruce Frank and pitching coach Vincent Boone have formally confirmed their retirement.

Frank, 66, served as the Gamblers manager from 2042 through 2046. As reported last season, Frank was nearly dismissed after an 8-17 start, but survived after the team surged to .500 and showed flashes of competitiveness. Frank's twenty-nine year career included sixteen years of employ with BBA organizations -- two years as bench coach of the Carolina Kraken (now Rockville Pikeman) from 2020 to 2021 including a championship in 2021; three years as bench coach of the Des Moines Kernels from 2024 to 2026; two years with the Brooklyn Robins, serving as pitching coach in 2032 and manager in 2033; three years as bench coach with the Rockville Pikeman from 2035 to 2037; and five years as manager of the Gamblers from 2042 through 2046. Frank was hired by the Gamblers organization in 2037 and assigned as manager of the Class-AAA Brooklyn Bombers. Frank finished his tenure with Class-AAA Brooklyn with a 376-317 (.543) record, two playoff appearances, and a Manager of the Year Award win in 2041. During his five year tenure as manager of the Gamblers, the Gamblers' finished 393-417 (.485) with one playoff appearance (2043). After winning 86 games in 2042 and 87 games in 2043, the Gamblers would fall on tough times with only 69 wins in 2044, 73 wins in 2045, and 78 wins in 2046.

Boone, 61, served as the Gamblers pitching coach from 2045 through 2046 and was an internal candidate who was given a long awaited promotion to serve at the BBA level. Boone's twenty-one year career actually started with the Gamblers organization, serving as the pitching coach of the Class-AAA Brooklyn Bombers during the 2024 and 2025 seasons, with the team finishing 47-115 in 2024 and 68-94 in 2025. Boone would go on to serve as pitching coach with multiple minor league organizations between 2026 and 2036 with a two-year hiatus from 2032 to 2033, prior to re-joining the Gamblers organization as the pitching coach of Class-A Long Island. Boone served as pitching coach of Class-A Long Island from 2037 to 2044, with the team finishing 634-461 (.579) with four playoff appearances during that span. During his two-year stint with the Gamblers, the team finished 151-173 (.466) and recorded a 4.97 team earned run average (ERA) in 2045 and a 4.50 ERA in 2046.
