In what is a shocking annoucment made today by GM Aaron Wharram, the Vancouver Mounties will no longer be playing in Vancouver and instead be moved to Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada. "I think the untapped market of a small town in Southwest Ontario is just what we needed to keep us competitive." said Wharram, "This also means we'll finally be free of the Pacific division." This means another original BBA team will be moving elsewhere, and Vancouver fans are pissed. "How can this even happen," noted one fan, "I couldn't even tell you on a map where this bum town even is, and that's where we lose our team? Unbelievable."
The town of Amherstburg has a population of roughly 20,000 people, and is well known for being just south of Windsor, having the historical Fort Malden, which is where historical figures Isaac Brock and Tecumseh met before kicking America's ass at Fort Detroit during the War of 1812.
The new team name will be the Amherstburg Admirals, Reportedly the logo has already been made for this new team:
Thank you Vancouver, it's been fun.
(April Fools btw)
