Post by Knucklehead254 » Sat Mar 02, 2024 1:39 am

SIM RESULTS:

L 3-4 @ MAD
W 4-1 @ MAD
L 1-8 @ MAD
W 5-1 @ MAD
L 2-3 V NSH
L 4-5 V NSH

2-4

GOOD:

Sam Fisher, 10-0, yadda yadda yadda.

Reese Newsome had a nice bounce back game against Madison, pitching seven scoreless innings while striking out 11 batters, bringing him up to a BBA leading 92 K's. Steve Warren pitched another great effort allowing just one run in six innings against Nashville.

Tony Frost balled out once again hitting .481 with 2 HRs and 8 RBI's in the last 7 games. He continues to defy expectations of Mounties fan and has all but locked in a hall of fame induction when his career is said and done.

The defense was solid, just one error. The baserunning has been good for the most part.

Pancho Costa reached a milestone with his 2500th career hit during the 8-1 loss to Madison.

3 of the 4 games we lost were only by one run, I guess? (I don't know i'm realllly coping right now)

BAD:

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CAN ANYONE ELSE HIT THE GODDAMN BALL AND HELP OUT FROST FOR F*CKS SAKE MY MAN CAN"T DO IT BY HIMSELF AND JUST GAAHHHHHH.

Gamal bin Badr threw his first stinker of a game this season allowing 7 runs in just 3.1 IP to a struggling Madison team. (Go figure)
Dave Cain was the man to start two games this sim, and like the last two pitchers he lost both of them. Which means because Fisher is the man to pitch two next sim.. oh god no.

TRANSACTIONS:

LF Bob Bales - Draft Pick Signing ($600,000)
RF Martín Cruz - Draft Pick Signing ($430,000)

STANDINGS:

Despite the rough week, the Mounties actually moved up to third in the standings thanks to the rest of the pacific also struggling. Sim #11 will see the Mounites finish the final two games against NASHVILLE AAAAA-, followed by four games at home against Omaha. Then they head back on the road for the first game of a four game series against Twin Cities. (Yes that's right we play the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placed teams in the Heartland back to back to back..)
