The Mounties have made some acquisitions the past couple weeks, let's see who's joining the team as they push for the playoffs.
RP Jimmy Bumble
2056 Stats: 31 GP, 2.84 ERA, 31 K, 1.4 WAR
Acquired two weeks ago from the Rockville Pikemen, Bumble will be looking to add some stability to a struggling bullpen. This will actually be Bumble's second stint in a Mounties uniform, as he made his BBA debut here at age 23 back in 2048. He played here for roughly 3 seasons before being traded away to San Fernando in 2050. He's performed well so far this year as seen in his 2056 stats, and in his first three games back as a Mountie he's allowed no runs through 4.1 innings.
1B Pancho Costa
2056 Stats: 40 GP, .342AVG, 8 HR, 32 RBI, 1.5 WAR
Costa had been on Wharram's radar since the offseason last year when said player was on Rocky Mountain, but a deal was never completed and he was dealt to Charlotte. Wharram chose to sign fan favorite Manny Toledo to fill the vacant first base spot. Toledo has not panned out as well as many fans hoped this year, batting under .200 with a $5 million contract wasn't good enough for Wharram. When Charlotte's season began to flounder and Costa was again put on the trade block, Wharram decided now to pull the trigger. Although there are injury concerns with Costa this season, the GM has full confidence in Costa holding down the first base spot with better batting while also maintaining the speed to steal bases like Toledo.
RP Ross Brown
2056 stats: 63 GP, 4.48 ERA, 85 K, 1.4 WAR
Brown was added to the deal due to the failed trade between Vancouver and San Fernando after Adam Barber refused to waive his no-trade clause to join the Mounties. Brown has been an absolute workhorse, appearing in at least 50% of the Flyers games this season, and will indeed hope to bolster up this bullpen with Bumble to get some more wins.
With these trades the Mounties had to make some room on their roster. Wagaw Fahiki was unceremoniously released after a disappointing session filling in for Allmen. Dave Cain was sent down to Triple A after allowing 5 runs a game in his last 6 starts, though expect him to be called back up in the near future.
The Mountains also claimed 2B Bob Williams off waivers from the Las Vegas Hustlers. Many believe this to be for emergency infield depth and a potential pinch runner for September call-ups.

Yeah just that 4 contact means he won’t start even with Allmen being out. Easy defensive sub/pinch runner for September call-ups
