2052.23

GM: " Well that was kind of awful. We did get that W against Long Beach to win that series but followed that up with a pathetic 1-3 against a dreadfully bad Hawaii team. Thats just flat out unacceptable. We then split the first 2 games of our current series with San Fernando. We had best win the rubber match in that one. The offense has just cooled a little too much. We need a spark. "

Renfork: " Pedro Huerta is back from the IL. Could that be the spark you are asking for? "

GM: " Well Niles its possible I suppose. He was struggling fairly hard in the beginning of this season but if he's back and truly healthy and starts a run of shutdown performances out of the pen, it could very well be what we need. We are 14-20 in one run games. That needs to change if we are truly going to compete for a post season spot. "

Charron: " Carlos Arroyo is really struggling again. "

GM: " Yea Guy we noticed. It continues to be a mystery. I don't expect stardom from him but he seems like he should be a very serviceable bat and he just cannot seem to get it going. We may have to make a move there yet. "

Sullivan: " Any truth to the rumors about Vancouver being a possible landing spot for Ernest McBride? "

GM: " Im afraid I can neither confirm nor deny that Ms. Sullivan. Tampering rules being what they are and all. All I can comment on is that he is under contract with the Phoenix Talons and currently resides on the IL. We do have an extensive history of facing him over the last few seasons as he was a member of the Portland Lumberjacks and we acknowledge that he is a very good player. We wish him a speedy recovery. On that note we need to end this before I get in trouble. "

In our defense, Hawaii is .500 (26-26) in June and July combined.

Yea I think your team is better than a couple of teams who have a better record than you. Just hamming it up for the article

Youve got the division or at minimum a wildcard. Sac & Portland down years.
