2050.6

GM: "Its been awhile folks. The team continues to do well. We have slipped to 3rd in the standings and at least for now it sure seems like Portland intends to run away with things. Its a little crazy to be 11 games over .500 and at the same time be 8.5 games back from the division lead. So for now it seems we will be neck and neck with Sacramento for the top 2 wildcard spots. Questions? "

Renfork: " We've talked about this before but don't you think you really need a second ace for the rotation? "

GM: " In a perfect world sure Niles but thats not how these things work. We are leaving the door open to such a move but for now we are riding with what we got. It could just be that our second ace is already in our organization and we just haven't seen it yet. Amos Swallows has done extremely well since we picked him up. He is only 27 so maybe he has another gear he can kick it up into? Or maybe it will be someone from the minors. Sam Fisher has been on a tear since he was drafted last year. He could force his way into the conversation yet. Or perhaps we will end up making a move more toward the deadline. I really don't know at this point. "

Charron: " Do you really not intend to spruce up the offense?"

GM: "Its ok Guy. Again I won't rule out further moves to shake things up but so far the plan is working as intended. First in homeruns and first in homeruns allowed is what got us here. And just like the pitching situation maybe something develops from within. "

Jenkins: "Llllleeeeerrrrroooooooyyyyy Jjjjjeeeennnnkkkkiiiinnnnnnssss!"

GM: " Exactly Leroy. Anastasio Diaz is really heating up down in AAA. Not much left to prove. David Graham has also been a pleasant surprise down there. Both could force us to make changes yet. If you dig deeper we still don't know what we are going to do with Ramiro Garcia. Zero power but wow has he been just a ridiculous hit machine. "

Sullivan: " The last move you made put the team back in the red. How does the owner feel about how things are going on the financial side of things. "

GM: " Yes Ms. Sullivan, I am aware of that. Bringing in Munoz added a few million to the payroll but we feel like it was a nice depth move. Bumble has been great for us but Munoz has the higher ceiling, we feel like Bumble has hit his peak and in a pinch we could toss Munoz in the rotation should multiple injuries strike. That was not something Bumble can do. We feel like financially the move will work itself out if we just keep winning games. The fans have been coming back out after a rough last few years in attendance. If we keep at it those numbers should improve further. "

Bumble was a surprise. I didn't think he'd be as good as he was for you.

Looks like Alex Ramirez, Jeffrey Smith, and Lonnie Bernard are the only pieces still in tact from our big trade
