2050.5

Post by bschr682 » Tue Mar 22, 2022 10:20 pm

GM: "Another couple weeks and things are still going very well. We are currently solidly in a wildcard spot and battling it out with Portland and Sacramento for the division lead. We've made several tweaks to the roster as well as the coaching staff and the results have been great so far. Team chemistry and coach chemistry were both massive issues last season and could very well have been what lead to our second half demise. Any questions?"

Renfork: " So far the pitching has held up very well but do you plan to add a second legit top tier starter? "

GM: " We've made some calls and we are definitely interested but as of yet nothing has materialized. I would imagine closer to the deadline this might be something we can pull off. For now things are going well and we will just roll with it."

Jenkins: "Llllleeeeerrrrroooooooyyyyy Jjjjjeeeennnnkkkkiiiinnnnnnssss!"

GM: " Well Leroy there isn't much specific to talk about as far as the kids are concerned. Things are going mostly well in the minors. The only new face I suppose was a scouting find from Turkey. Narin Edip. The scouts are fairly optimistic about him but you never really know with these things."

Charron: " We need more offense. While we are first place in homeruns in the Frick we also happen to be ahead of only Des Moines in batting average. We just flat out are not getting enough hits."

GM: " Relax Guy that's by design. While we will have a low hit total, our hits will count for a lot as we continue to pound homeruns. Also its partly just a fluky result. The bats have been heating up lately. Especially Daniel Pepper and Andrew Wright. If those guys really get rolling, we will be in a very good place."

Sullivan: " How are you feeling about the teams finances these days? You had mentioned earlier this year that the owner was on you guys about making some profit."

GM: " Correct Ms. Sullivan. The latest trade we swung should help basically all of the things we've talked about today. Team chemistry will take another nudge up as Fardos was not happy here, Feliciana should be an improvement over what Martinez was giving us offensively, and the finances should see a bit of an improvement as well as we both save 3ish million dollars and fan interest takes another slight tick up which may mean more tickets sold and therefore more revenue. All in all we are quite pleased right now."

Looks like home field advantage is a big priority against you. Quit hitting homers.

Life is a bit more beautiful when time is measured by the half inning rather than the half hour.

Nope. All homers all the time.
