2048.2
GM: "And I'm back. Sorry had to run an errand real quick. Besides I get more league credit if I split this into multiple pieces. Ok where were we?"
Jenkins: "Jjjeeeennnnkkkkiiiinnnnsss!!"
GM: "We already talked about the best of the prospects Leroy. Sure there are a few others kicking around but none are that close. We can come back to this once the minor league seasons start rolling and we have something concrete to go off of. Questions?"
Renfork: "Niles Renfork of the Vancouver Observer. I couldn't help but notice you signed Shinsaku Ine to a rather long term contract when you currently have 23 other big league pitchers on the roster. How are you going to find innings for all of these guys? Is this a good allocation of salary cap?"
GM: "Nice to meet you too Renfork. Yes we do think its a good idea. Listen we had loads of space under the cap and while we do have a ton of arms in the stable, a lot of them aren't the type of guy we are primarily looking for. We are putting a harder emphasis on not giving up the long ball. Ine is pretty good at that and if you were really doing your homework you would have noticed how his contract is structured and that we also signed Juan Pinto and Francisco Salgado to similarly structured deals. With a beefier bullpen and a couple tweaks to the starters, we think pitching is going to be a real strength going forward. "
Renfork: "Back in my day..."
GM: "You won the Landis we get it. I'm sure you walked uphill both ways barefoot in the snow too. We get it. Any other questions from people who are under 80?"
Charron: "What's the teams outlook for the veterans like Ramirez, Smith and Castillo? Is there a possibility you will move the vets in an attempt to get younger at those positions?"
GM: "Excellent question. Its fairly common for a new regime to make big changes to put their mark on the team immediately. I'm not planning to do that. I like the mix of youth and vets that we have. If Smith bounces back while Castillo and Ramirez continue to be excellent, I think we have the bats to make some noise right away this season. Of course should we struggle early on, plans could change..."
Sullivan: "Caitlen Sullivan from the Vancouver Courier. What are the plans at first base? Will Garcia and Martinez split time or will one ultimately end up in the minors?"
GM: "Good eye Ms. Sullivan. Right now we are leaning toward letting Garcia have the job but the spring training numbers will have some say in that. We like his extra power potential. Yanez is pretty cemented at DH right now. Well that's all the time I have for now folks. I'll check in with you again soon."

Re: 2048.2
EEEEEEEEEEKKKKK
I hated his nickname when I had him in Vancouver. He was on the team before I took over. I don't think I would have hired him on.
Oh, well.
Caitlin Sullivan?
She's still around? With the Courier? I didn't know she left the Sun.
Little known fact: Caitlin Sullivan is a real life beloved relative of mine. She was a big baseball fan at the time and loved my Vancouver Mounties. She, in fact, actually wrote some of the articles i (we) posted. She later became a big OOTP fan and was in two or three different OOTP leagues (although never using her real name and never in the same league as me). She doesn't do it anymore. Too busy with her kids (who hate baseball).

Re: 2048.2
Not a Vancouver pitcher, but this guy would have been nice. I may make him a coach next season.
