Looks like someone has been convicted in the kangaroo court. A few days ago, we posted an article detailing the creation of a kangaroo court in the Mounties clubhouse. Who had this idea? Of course it was veteran third baseman David Noboru. We're sure he convened with some other veterans like Luis Ortega and Augate Balun. So, what happened?

Well, it looks like second year pitcher Hideaki Shibutani was caught stepping on the team logo in the clubhouse. Reports say that he was eating a sandwich and wasn't paying attention to his surroundings. Now the real question is what type of sandwich was he eating. Well, sources differ on the type of sandwich. Some say it was a Philly cheesesteak, others say it was a French dip, and one reporter said he was actually some sort of cold sandwich. Either way, Shibutani stepped on the team logo and Noboru did not take too kindly to this. He immediately gathered the team. It was trial time. Cue Law & Order sound effect.

Shibutani pleaded his case. He said because his sandwich was so good, he was unable to identify his surroundings. He was too invested into the sandwich. Noboru empathized with Shibutani, but a delicious sandwich was no excuse for stepping on the team logo. Shibutani was fined $100. This money will be put towards a future team dinner, possibly at a sandwich shop. Was that sandwich worth the $100 fine? Who knows? But we do know that the sandwich causes the person to ignore their surroundings. So, if car accidents rise in Vancouver, we will know why.
