Portland Lumberjacks:
Predicted Record: 67-95
Actual Record: 48-114
Alright so it's my rival from the other side of the invisible line. I predicted this team would be not be as bad as 2044. I was very wrong. Are there punishments for tanking with the purpose of making someone's predictions look stupid? It looks like the main issue with this team was the pitching staff as they ranked last in nearly every team stat. Although, the hitters weren't too great either. It looks like this will be another year where the Lumberjacks pick in the top 3 of the draft.
Madison Wolves
Predicted Record: 71-91
Actual Record: 78-84
I said the Wolves would finish in 7th place in the Heartland, but I guess I underestimated how good the Heartland would be in 2045. It looks like this was a middle of the road team with a superstar. That superstar is Manobu Shimizu. The 24 year old right fielder deservedly won the FL Sawyer Silk and don't be surprised if there are many more in the future. Will he add any championship rings to that collection? We'll have to wait and see.
Boise Spuds
Predicted Record: 82-80
Actual Record: 90-72
The Spuds may have not fared too well in the playoffs, but they performed better than I predicted. I did not think this was close to a 90 win team, but Felix Roman single-handedly proved me wrong. The fact this guy has nearly 40 WAR in 6 seasons is absolutely incredible. He may be the best player in baseball. In the end, the pitching staff is what let this team down.
Montreal Blazers
Predicted Record: 84-78
Actual Record: 91-71
After the Angel Zalapa trade, everyone knew coming into the season that the Blazers would be one of the most interesting teams in the BBA. Interestingly, it was the pitching staff that carried this team as there was no true superstar in the batting order. The real superstar of this team is super reliever Carlton Casson. Although, the starting rotation was an essential element to this team's success as well.

I think our pitching will be even better this year. I'm expecting big things from our bullpen.

Dad, is that you? I mean, sure, Boise LOST in the playoffs, but we did advance two rounds including knocking off the giants of Rockville.
Who ya gotta blow to get some recognition around here?
