A Look Into Potential Future Franchise Plans
For the past few seasons, there have been plenty of rumors on the prospect of the Mounties relocating to another city. After months of "legally" digging around through documents and other forms of communication, the thought of the Mounties moving to another city is not unrealistic. Check out some photos I found. Example 1, Example 2, and Example 3.

Well, since the organization is limited to the Pacific region, there are not too many metropolitan areas to choose from. There aren't many big cities in Washington and Oregon, so that leaves California and Western Mexico. Luckily, the team does not seem to be considering Los Angeles, so at least they wouldn't move solely for financial gain. San Diego is a big city with a lack of sports teams. San Francisco is a nice area, but I doubt the team is considering moving there. Baja California is an interesting idea. The only team in Mexico is the Mexico City Aztecs. It would be cool to see another Mexican team in the league and for the country to be represented in both the FL and JL. However, if the Mounties were to move, Canada would no longer be represented in the FL. All the Vancouver fans might have to move onto Seattle. That could be a large increase of market size for the Storm.

Speaking of market size, I noticed something interesting in my analysis of these documents. Basically, there is a scale that organizations use to describe their market size. The Mounties have been listed as "above average" for a long time. However, very recently, some new calculations led to a new description. The team's market size is now "astronomical", the very top of the scale. This can be seen with the attendance numbers as in 2044, the average attendance was around 24,000 or so. In 2045, the average attendance was at over 37,000. So, I wonder how the organization is treating this new revelation, especially because their fan interest figure is known to be one of the worst in the league.

So, will the Mounties be moving? We really don't know. The fact there are cities that the organization is considering shows that it may happen one day. However, there is some good news. Some documents have shown that the Mounties are looking to make a new logo. Let's be honest, this team has used the same logo for decades. Change is long overdue. I would love if the leaf in the main logo became the cap logo and the main logo had the city skyline like the Omaha Cyclones. Since they are looking to change the logo, it seems the team is leaving all options on the table.

Man these next few seasons are really going to indicate what happens to this franchise. If this team is still in Vancouver in 2050, I think they will end up staying.

I definitely agree they shouldn't move to LA. Of course, I'd prefer they didn't move at all, but please don't move to LA. Everyone knows SD is better.

All I'm saying is our owner is literally from the city. I find it unlikely he would want to move.

----Fair point, however it's not like the fans have shown much interest to keep the team. Though he has opened up his checkbook to re-sign our biggest players, so you have to wonder what's going through his mind. I do find it a bit odd that the market size and attendance numbers have increased, while fan interest has decreased.

Petco is the absolute perfect location for a ballpark. Great views and right in the middle of the best bar district in town (at least for adults, not frat boys).

Yeah, I suppose I meant it’s a great place to watch baseball. Petco Park is the best and they actually have good beer inside the stadium.
