Another former top prospect bites the dust. As the Mounties continue to implode, GM Taylor Bettencourt is likely looking to rework the organization from the ground up. One of the players that has reportedly been on the trade block for a long time is Quentin Mullins. As recently as 2043, Mullins was ranked as the #36 prospect in the BBA. Once considered a future #2 starter, Mullins has never been able to translate his skills to the BBA level, despite many great seasons in the minor leagues. One key reason as to why Mullins hasn't been able to stick in the BBA is because of the lack of progress in his changeup. He has worked with many pitching coaches, but he has never been able to unlock the plus-plus potential of his changeup, which has limited his progress. However, a team has decided to take a chance on him. That team is Jacksonville.
VAN Trades:
Quentin Mullins
JAX Trades:
C Shan Guan
SP Jose Vazquez
The Mounties received two prospects in positions where they are low in depth. Guan immediately becomes the best catching prospect in the organization, which really says something. He has a long way to go, but if he ever reaches his full potential, he could likely hold down a starting spot in the BBA. Vazquez will likely see BBA action sometime next season. The Mounties have virtually no left handed pitching prospects that are near BBA ready. Now they have Vazquez. Could the Mounties have asked for more? Maybe. Mullins has many years of control left. However, considering he hasn't shown much in the big leagues, it's likely his value has gone down tremendously. Hopefully this deal can work out for both teams. But, considering where the Mounties are in the Pacific, this likely won't be the last trade the Mounties make this season. We expect big trades are coming.

Re: TVT 2044.14 - Mullins Traded
That seems like a decent return
