TVT 2044.12 - International Signing

All of the best teenage talents from international free agency have been signed already. However, that doesn't mean that teams will stop looking for international prospects. Every organization has their own team of scouts that specialize in finding unknown prospects. Recently, many teams have been sending their scouts to the Middle East. The Mounties have found many players from the region, however they may have just found their best player to date.
The organization signed starting pitcher Nasir al Din bin Sahir to their international complex. This Egyptian starting pitcher stands at 6'3" at only 17 years old. The Mounties found Sahir at a tournament in Egypt. The scout was impressed by Sahir's work ethic. He came to the field very early in the day and was the last player to leave. The scout offered him a contract on the spot. Apparently a Portland Lumberjacks scout was also present at the tournament, but he was in the bathroom when the Mounties scout approached Sahir.
Sahir throws 4 pitches. His fastball and slider both have plus potential and he is already able to throw both of them for strikes. If Sahir can properly control his changeup along with his fastball and slider, he has the potential to be a mid-rotation starter. Of course, a lot has to go right in order for Sahir to fulfill his potential. It will be a long time until we potentially see Sahir in the majors. For now, let's congratulate Sahir and thank that Portland scout for having to use the bathroom.
