As you may remember, the Mounties traded Masaki Sato to Edmonton for a couple of prospects. The main piece the Mounties received was Hideaki Shibutani. Shibutani has always had great talent, however the issue with him is his work ethic. Scouting reports are filled with words such as "lazy and selfish". However, reports have come out saying that the Mounties have assinged Shibutani certain classes and activities so he can learn the value of a work ethic. The Mounties have had great success with these tactics in the past. However, the Mounties learned something about Shibutani that they were not expecting.

The first activity of this course is a personality quiz. Basically, the team can put these answers into a formula so they can assign a number rating to different personality traits, such as a work ethic. Reportedly, Shibutani got the worst work ethic rating they have ever seen. They didn't know a rating could be this low. He got a rating of 3. Do you realize how low that is? That's just pure laziness and selfishness. How can someone be considered that selfish? It's possible the Jackrabbits were not able to help Shibutani and that's why they were willing to trade him. He is a true boom or bust propsect. These next few seasons will be very interesting for Shibutani.

I heard he didn't even take the quiz the first time it was given to him.
