Frustration seems to be brewing in the Vancouver locker room. Instead of teammates arguing and fighting each other, it has spilled out on the field. Within the past 10 days, 2 different Mounties were ejected and suspended. Let's look at each situation.

On May 9th, the Mounties faced the Sluggers in Vancouver. In the eighth inning, the Mounties made a 5 run comeback that ended with Fernando Castillo hitting a two run home run. Angel Gonzalez came to bat next against new pitcher Robert Hobbs. The Sluggers did not seem to enjoy Castillo pimping his go ahead home run. So, Hobbs threw at Gonzalez and this incited a bench clearing brawl. As a result of this brawl, Gonzalez was suspended for 4 games and Hobbs was suspended for 2 games.

On May 18th, the Mounties squared off against their division rivals, the Hawaii Tropics, again in Vancouver. Ernest Mcbride hit a two run home run in the 3rd inning to take a 4-3 lead. The pitcher Daniel Avila, like Hobbs 9 days earlier, was not pleased to see the hitter pimp a home run. So, he threw at the next batter Manuel Aguilar Jr.. This incited a bench clearing brawl that caused Avila and Aguilar Jr. to be suspended for 6 and 5 games respectively. In an unrelated incident, Masaki Sato was ejected for arguing a strike call with the home plate umpire.

Mounties fans have definitely enjoyed seeing the players let their frustrations out. However, there is a point where it can lead to the detriment of the team. Let's hope the players don't get out of control.
