TVT 2043.9 - Pavel Bure's Plead to Sign

Post by StormZ_23 » Fri Jun 12, 2020 2:39 pm

The leaked document saga continues. However this one does not hurt the team, in fact it makes them look better to be honest. Vancouver native Pavel Bure Jr. sent a letter to the Mounties earlier in the off-season before he signed with the Seattle Storm. Let's look at the letter:

"To the Vancouver Mounties organization,

I, Pavel Bure Jr., would love to be given a chance to play again for your organization. I feel better than I ever have. I have been training for the entirety of the off-season. My fastball is hitting triple digits and my changeup has more bite than ever. I know my control has never been great and I know I allowed a lot of walks when I played for the team a couple of years ago, however I believe I can be a valuable asset for your big league bullpen. Also, knowing that I have lived in Vancouver since I was a kid, I'm sure fans would love to see a Vancouver native on the roster. I hear that you guys need help selling season tickets. I look forward to hearing your response."

Not a long letter but it got it's point across. Bure clearly thought that he was performing better than ever and because he is a Vancouver native, he could persuade his way onto the team. Well, the team clearly received this letter because they responded a few days later. Here is what the team said:

"Dear Mr. Bure Jr.,

No.

Sincerely,
Taylor Bettencourt"

Well, I guess there is nothing else to say.

My owner has insisted I sign a homegrown player. It counts that feces ridden city you reside in as “hometown”. I guess I should go after Bure.

Well we definitely don't want to be associated with your city, that's for sure. And Bure is already in Seattle, in between our two cities.

Chris:

You should definitely sign Bure. He'd look great in a Lumberjacks uniform! Long term. Then renew! Oh, and be sure to make him your closer! Or better yet, make him a stopper so he gets in more games. Start him, too! You'll thanks me later!
