Last year was a flat out disappointment for not just the Vancouver Mounties, but for the city of Vancouver. The angry mob of fans have been calling for heads to roll. The organization has clearly heard the cries of fans with the moves they have made. Along with these moves, there have also been rumors that GM Taylor Bettencourt will be appearing in a podcast at some point this off-season to discuss the direction of the team. Although, those are unconfirmed rumors. What can be confirmed is that two key members of the Mounties coaching staff will not be with the team next season.
Let's start with bench coach Manny Martinez. Last season, manager of the year winner Marco Goodwin signed a long term extension with the team, so he was not going anywhere. Although, another underperforming season could lead to him being on the hot seat. So, bench coach Manny Martinez became the scapegoat. The team decided to not renew his contract at the end of the season, leading to Martinez retiring. He wasn't with the team for very long, but he was a respected figure in the clubhouse. It will be interesting to see how the clubhouse copes with this.
One more coach was given the boot, pitching coach Eduardo Lopez. The team hired Lopez before the 2041 season. His leadership helped a young pitching staff find their footing in the Frick league. The pitching staff ranked in the middle of the Frick in nearly every team statistical category. However, everything went south in 2042. The Mounties pitching staff was ranked among the worst in the league. Seeing how Lopez's contract was up at the end of the season, the Mounties decided to not renew it.
As soon as we find out who the Mounties hire, we will bring the news to you.

It is almost like watching the BBA Coaching version of Survivor. Meanwhile, coaches in Jacksonville are looking around and saying, "74 wins look pretty good".
