TVT 2042.7 - Top Prospect Out For Season

Post by StormZ_23 » Sat Apr 04, 2020 3:08 am

The Mounties are currently in last place. The pitching has been abysmal for the most part. The offense could be playing way better. What else could go wrong? Remember when we wrote that article praising Richie Vanness' road to success. His development has been great recently. Well, we don't know when we will see Vanness again or if he will ever be the same. He needs to undergo radial nerve decompression surgery. I have to be honest, I have no idea what that means, but it just sounds bad. An elbow injury for a young pitcher is something that will hinder their development.

It's really a shame that this had to happen to Vanness. He has come so far since the 2039 draft. He was killing it in A ball. He started 4 games and already had 1.0 WAR. There were rumors that he could have been considered for a September call up if he continued at the pace he was at. Now, his future is up in the air. The Mounties future is up in the air. Did we just wait all of these years for a team that has a bunch of overpaid players and underperforming stars? Realistically, what is this team's future? Is Portland actually going to win a Landis before us? I know we are only 18 games into the season, but everything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong. Mounties fans are panicking right now. We can't imagine how the GM is feeling right now.

We wish Vanness a speedy recovery.

Ouch.

Vanness is a guy I wanted to see make the BBA soon, so, yuck.

I hate seeing good players get hurt.

As a competitor in your division I won’t hate it as much though.
