TVT 2042.6 - Tournament Food

Post by StormZ_23 » Thu Apr 02, 2020 5:18 pm

Recently, the league announced that it would be holding the Brewster Ballpark Food Bracket Challenge. Vancouver is among the best cities in North America for food. There many different places in the city that are very popular. However, there is one food type of food that Vancouver is known for and it surprises tourists. That food is sushi. Renowned chef Hidekazu Tojo is credited for introducing sushi to Vancouver in the 1970s. At the time, the city had very few Japanese restaurants. Now, they are all over the place.

Tojo is credited for creating two popular types of sushi rolls, one of which is the team's submission. The California roll was created by Tojo in Vancouver as a way to get the city to try ingredients they were not used to having. It is known as the California roll because of it's popularity among tourists from Los Angeles. The second roll Tojo created was the B.C. roll, or the British Columbia roll. This is what the team submitted. The Northwoods Outpost has a very popular restaurant known as Vancouver's Finest Catch. There you will find some of the finest pieces of seafood. The B.C. roll is very popular among Mounties fans as it has been voted as the best food in the ballpark.

The league-wide food challenge will start soon and we cannot wait to see what other teams submit.

This can’t be better than the Talon’s $3 Sushi.

Life is a bit more beautiful when time is measured by the half inning rather than the half hour.

Admit I love a good sushi, and I suppose Vancouver's is pretty good. Better than Phoenix's, but then Phoenix leaves theirs out in the desert sun to bake a bit before serving.

But I'm left hanging. What is *in* the B.C. roll?
