TVT 2042.5 - Owner Simon Fraser Passes Away

Today is a sad day for Vancouver baseball. Owner of the Vancouver Mounties, Simon Fraser, has tragically passed away while on vacation with his family in the Bahamas. He was 85 years old. At the time of this article's publishing, the cause of death is uncertain.
Fraser was always seen by fans as a great owner, even more so within the organization. Players, coaches, and executives have raved about Fraser's friendless and how he made it his mission to talk to everyone within the organization. He would be seen to talking to the players on a consistent basis. Not only did Fraser love the people who worked for him, he loved the game of baseball. He was never concerned about turning a profit, he just wanted a team that could win the Landis. While last year's Mounties squad didn't win the Landis, they made the playoffs for the first time since 2031 and won the division for the first time since 2028. We will always have the videos and pictures of Fraser celebrating with his team after the team's division win.
The new owner of the team will be Fraser's son, Chris. He has already spoken out saying that for the duration of the 2042 season, the team will wear a patch on their jersey with the initials "S.F." to honor the life of Simon Fraser. The funeral service will take place in a couple of days in a private setting. This is horrible news to hear right before the start of the season. We hope that the players, coaches, and the rest of the organization will be able to mentally recover soon.
