Vancouver will be up all night. The streets will be filling soon. The Mounties are Frick League Pacific champions!
The team hasn't been in the playoffs since 2031. They haven't won their division since 2028. They haven't played in the Landis since 2008. They haven't won the Landis since 2000. They haven't won a Landis since our GM Taylor Bettencourt was born. We don't want to jinx our team, but these are exciting times. Years filled with underperforming players and bloated contracts are finally behind us. Well, maybe not the bloated contracts. But if those bloated contracts lead the team and the city of Vancouver to a championship, it will all be worth it.
We love everything about this team. The pitching has really surprised us. There are a lot of young guys in the rotation, but they are holding their own. The playoffs may be a challenge though. The bullpen, like most of the league, is considered a weakness. However, the team did add a couple relievers at the deadline, so that should help. But, we cannot talk about this team without talking about the offense. This offense is one of the best in the league and will hopefully stay that way for a long time.
There is a question we will be looking to answer soon. Will the team change their ballpark dimensions? Is the pitcher friendly park heavily influencing our pitching? Is it suppressing the lineup's offensive potential? If the team wins the Landis, we can't imagine a drastic change to the ballpark. But, let's save that for later. This team still has a long way to go.

Congrats Taylor on winning the Pacific title. I really think you built one of the best offensive teams I've ever seen in OOTP, and I wish you the best of luck in the BBA playoffs.

i wish i could win all of the division titles, but if i cant im glad to see Vancouver get one. You entered into a bit of a revolving door and you really steadied the ship nicely. Good to see.

Congrats, Taylor. Nice division win. Your damn Mounties we’re just too solid throughout the season to catch.
