On July 11th, 2041, the great city of Vancouver hosted the 2041 BBA all star game. The all star game is a staple in professional baseball and this year's game featured many young talents that should make BBA fans excited for this next decade of baseball. Three of those guys were Mounties stars. Angel Gonzalez was voted in by the league. Jeffrey Smith and Aaron Stone both made the game as reserves. These three were all deserving of their places, especially Gonzalez who is looking like a Silk candidate in the Frick League.
The Frick League lost to the Johnson League in a contested battle. Most of the game had a close scoreline, but the Johnson league really pulled away in the 7th inning as they scored a total of 6 runs. Aztecs outfielder Anastasio Lopez won the all star game MVP for his home run in the 4th inning.
As we are finally passed the mid-season point, we seem to have a clear picture on which teams are contenders and which are pretenders. The trade deadline is coming up fast, so it will be interesting to see who moves around and who becomes Landis favorites.
