Round 3 - A position player!
So we've been through the first two rounds of the Vancouver Mounties' 1995 draft, with both picks being fireballing righthanded starting pitchers, so we decided to take a different route for round three.
With the Vancouver system being mostly bereft of impact prospects, this draft is a great opportunity to load up on potential where there really wasn't any before. Yeah, we've got Newhouse and Mannerden, who are both stuck in the development hell known as the Vancouver Mounties minor league system, but we needed an outfielder.
With Bonds and Janero moving up to the show this season, there's little in terms of outfield - or any - depth in the Mounties' system, so we snagged Byron Wooster, a college player from New Jersey.
Wooster has solid attributes, an outstanding work ethic and is a quick learner, all things the Mounties are - now - looking for in our prospects. His defense is solid and his ratings suggest being put on the fast-track may not be a terrible idea.
But we're going to play it safe with this kid, because the last thing we want to do is ruin a player. Janero may be sent down in the next sim, but he hasn't embarrassed himself yet at the ML-level, so there's really no harm in keeping him up.

I'm really liking your draft. NIce pickup for R3. Great work ethic, too.
