Praise the Lord, the season has mercifully come to a close. We wish all the playoff teams good luck.

THE WEEK
  • In a less than stellar performance Juan Guerrero won his 19th game by beating lowly Edmonton 6-5. He went eight innings and gave up 12 hits and all five Jackrabbit runs. He ends the season with a 19-8 record and a 3.19 ERA and a 5.0 WAR.
  • Scott Harper managed one RBI over the four game Edmonton series which was just enough to bring him to the century mark. He ends the year at .266 with 35 home runs and 100 RBIs, good enough for a 2.7 WAR. Perhaps most surprisingly he exceeded the expectations of his defensive critics with a +2.3 WAR at first base where he started 62 games.
  • Rashardo Menne III went 2 for 2 in the last game of the year. That was enough to bring his season average from .298 to .301. He also stole 46 bases and led the league in triples with 17. He had a WAR of 3.8.

Based on their seasons as described above, Rashardo Menne III and Scott Harper were named co Hitters-of-the-Year for the Mounties by the local media representatives. And Juan Guerrero was named Mounties Pitcher-of-the-Year. Congratulations to the three Vancouver rookies!
