The Stars have opened up there lead to 10.5 games over Hawaii Tropics as August is almost over then into the strech run the month of September..The Stars pitching has just been incredible so far this season...They lead in almost every pitching catagory..On the offensive side the Stars are 9th overall in team batting average with a .266 average but have 168 homers which is 3rd best...

STAR HIGHLIGHTS..
SS Maddux Vaughn is leading the Stars in hitting with a .312 batting average..Vaughn was this years top free agent pickup and the Stars are very happy with his performance... Vaughn also has 28 doubles and 15 dingers and has driven in 62 rbis...
SP Devon Hyngary now has 14 wins for this season with only 5 losses with a 2.49 era..Hyngary is only 23 and looks to be the real deal..Also in 185 innings he now has 213 k's..Last season in 35 starts he won 21 games...
Rookie 1B Edwin Pyburn is having a very good rookie season...Pyburn is hitting .305 with 27 doubles, 16 homers and has driven in 51 runs...Not bad for his rookie year..Pyburn was called up in September hit .344 and has never looked back...
