The Stars are so close to playing .500 ball...Starting in August there only 3 games under .500...Over the last two months the Stars have gone 26-25 playing much better this season...

The Stars have a few new faces that have added to the wins so far this year...Rookie 1B Ángelo Vargos has already won rookie of the month twice...In April the 23-year-old first baseman hit .321 with 26 hits, 4 home runs and 13 runs batted in. He also logged 4 walks and compiled a .356 on-base percentage. Then in June Vargos hit .359 with 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and 19 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award again.... Vargos hit 2 home runs against the Madison Wolves, going 2-4 with 5 RBI and 2 runs score In one of his best games last month... Vargos through July is hitting .266 24 doubles, 12 homers and 44 rbis.... Vargos is thrid in homers and Rbi this year....

Vet Catcher Steven Tyus had allot to prove to Valencia after playing the last 5 seasons in the EBA...So far the transition has been great for Tyus...So far he is batting .316 7 homers and 35 Rbi's and has a .441 OBP....Tyus was selected to the Montgomery Brewster Baseball Association All-Star Game which was a huge honor for Tyus ........

CLO Joe Muldrow has had a great year too for the Stars...Muldrow 27 saves and Was selected to the All-Star Game. In 2004 Muldrow had 32 saves and he could break that this year....
