The Stars started off the 1996 year with a 2-6 record, very bad sim for the Stars..The offense didnt really show up the first 8 games as the team batting average was .208 12th overall best...2B Caleb Boyetteis off to a good start for the Stars as he hit .444 3 homers and drove in 5 runs...Boyette is in his second full season with the Stars..In his rookie year he hit .262 14 65...SP Ricky 'Tofu' Jamaica had a soild first week..Jamaica went 1-1 in his two games. In 15 innings he picked up 17 K's...Last season Jamaica went 13-8 with a 3.25 era....Newly aquired MR Brian Fisher looked good in his first 5 innings as a Star..Fisher pitched 5 innings had 2 k's and had zero era...The Stars hope that Fisher will cintinue to pitxh well for the Stars into the year....

Man, for all of his offensive star power, Boyette is a real turd defensively.
