After a rocky start following his draft selection in the first round, Bartolo Fernandez has been promoted from the A-League Redwood City Rocketmen to the AA club in Jamestown.
After going for his first 12 games battiing .192 with an on-base percentage of .208, it seems like Bartolo has found his groove and is playing more in line with the scouts’ expectations.
Bartolo has gotten a hit in 10 out of his last 12 games accumulating 12 hits in his last 40 at bats.
With the middle infield being wide open with the Comets’ squad, look for Bartolo to get quite a few looks at second base since the BBA club is currently overflowing with young outfielders.
The front office is hoping that Bartolo can get some decent amount of time in AAA prior to the end of this season to allow him to be given a good look with the BBA club come the spring of 2065.
